the faces
have looked the same now for days
just shake their hands
and say what they want you to say
if there’s a pain
in the corner of the mind
here‘s the drugs
they help you see you’re still alright
if the days fading fast in a blur and you’re trying to keep up
then a parking lot could tell you where you are
go on
you can't stand the voice no more
it’s gotten wrong
not as tender as before
the love
was so real and was so much
it made you blind
or did it only make you trust
as you suck all your pride and your grace and your dignity‘s erased
in a parking lot right under the stars
as for him he don’t care who was there, cause the friends they do not care
and a parking lot just told you what you’re worth
and you take daddy‘s car and you drive, like almost every night
tune the radio to songs you used to like
then you sit and you smoke and you watch her window and you hope
that this parking lot could tell you who you are
